About us

All Things Dog is run by head trainer and behaviourist Hollie Morrell. A lifetime dog lover who has turned her passion into a career. With a soft spot for Rottweilers she started by rescuing dogs that where deemed 'difficult' due to their behaviour and size, dogs that could have quite easily ended up in the wrong hands or being put to sleep. It became clear she had a knack for helping misunderstood dogs, so, to further her knowledge she has since gained qualifications in professional pet grooming, puppy training, canine nutrition, has worked as a dog warden for a number of years and has also gained her level 4 diploma in advanced canine behaviour.

"Dogs are amazing, they are beautiful and complex animals. Their behaviour and psychology is fascinating and I love learning about it. It is such a rewarding feeling when you build a good relationship with your dog that I love helping others do the same. Sometimes issues can arise purely because a dog and owner aren't communicating properly, it isn't that the dog is 'bad', just that he doesn't know what is being asked of him, that's where I come in, like a dog translator" Hollie Morrell.

Having years of experience with dogs in general, working with stray dogs as a dog warden gave Hollie a whole new insight. "There isn't many other circumstances that are trickier than trying to care for a dog that is lost, frightened and doesn't have a clue who you are. Some dogs come around with just a soft voice and a few treats, but some take a lot more time. Some are aggressive, but that is understandable, they don't know that I'm trying to help. Some of the dogs that come in as strays have clearly been abused. One of my worst cases was Boomer, a large Bull breed mix, whom I adopted myself after no-one claimed him. He still has some mental and physical scars, but he now enjoys life instead of fearing it like he did when he first came in. So much so that he now helps rehabilitate other dogs" Hollie Morrell.

Hollie's main goal and passion is to help dogs and their owners. She has the experience, the knowledge and the means to do so. With the added benefit of also having facilities to train privately in her two acre secure field, she can assure a safe and controlled environment to proof behaviours before sending owners and their dogs back into real life situations.

Be it a big dog, small dog, old or young, All Things Dog Training & Behaviour can help.
